Please be aware of any solicitations from third parties for both hotel room booking and attendee list sales. We have been informed of unauthorized communications from third parties for hotel room bookings and attendee mailing list sales and there is a growing problem with hotel room “pirating.” Sham housing companies offer hotel rooms at significant discounts. These rooms do not exist for our meeting.
Please know: HCIC has secured the lowest sleeping room rates at the hotel during its conference dates and companies that contact you saying they represent HCIC are simply not telling the truth. The only way to book a room is via our website or by calling the toll-free number. These other companies are in NO WAY affiliated with the HCIC conference and often, they don’t have any rooms at all to sell. Attendees who fall prey to these impostors often end up losing significant deposits, have to pre-pay with no refunds, discover hidden charges or are being baited and switched to hotel rooms they never booked. If you are contacted by any of these firms, please do not respond, although you may want to ask them to stop bothering you. Instead, let us know about it so that we can contact the company and attempt to put a stop to it. We apologize for this inconvenience. Thanks for being on the lookout for and not engaging with these fraudulent companies.
