Pivoting Patient Access Strategies: Connecting Patients to Care During COVID-19

Pivoting Patient Access Strategies: Connecting Patients to Care During COVID-19

RECORDED ON: Thursday, May 21, 2020
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM ET

As COVID-19 spreads rapidly, health systems are facing extreme pressure to manage a surge of urgent needs, while still maintaining access for patients with ongoing care needs separate from the virus. In the process, many organizations have been forced to reevaluate their concept of “patient access” and how to deliver care moving forward.

In this webinar, Dr. Sylvia Romm, Chief Innovation Officer at Atlantic Health System, and Pamela Landis, VP of Digital Engagement at Hackensack Meridian Health, will share how they’ve reacted to COVID-19 - whether that’s ramping up existing programs or quickly implementing new technology - to expand access and how these steps fit into their longer-term access models.

Learning will focus on:

  • How digital patient engagement solutions can help educate and triage patients online, plus tips for choosing and implementing them effectively
  • Insights for adjusting existing programs to meet needs of the current situation (e.g. expanding virtual care offerings and modalities) What role alternative sites of care can play in enabling fast access - both during and outside of a pandemic
  • What impact COVID-19 could have on access moving forward
