As generative AI tools are continuing to see increased popularity, Google’s Vertex AI platform has added two new AI models for healthcare use. 
The new models are a part of MedLM, which, according to Google, is "a family of foundation models fine-tuned for healthcare industry use cases." The MedLM models are built on Med-PaLM 2, which is Google’s large language model (LLM) specific to medical information. The LLM was introduced in March of 2023. Initial testing was done by HCA Healthcare, Mayo Clinic and Meditech.
