Working in healthcare marketing is complex, fast-moving and not always easy to navigate alone. Whether you’re just finding your footing or you’ve spent decades building your expertise, there’s something powerful about connecting with someone who gets it. That’s why we created the HCIC Mentoring Program. This is a year-long, one-on-one connection between experienced industry leaders and emerging professionals who are ready to grow.
Why Become a Mentor?
You’ve figured things out the hard way. You’ve made decisions without a roadmap, navigated career pivots without a guide and learned lessons that no conference session ever taught you. Now imagine giving someone else a shortcut to all of that. Mentoring isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about being the person you wish you’d had earlier in your career: someone who listens, challenges and helps another professional see a clearer path forward.
Why Become a Mentee?
A mentor gives you something most professionals wish they’d had earlier: direct access to someone who’s already navigated the path you’re on. They’ll help you think through where you want to go, challenge you when you need it and offer perspective on decisions that feel bigger than they need to be. Having someone invested in your growth has a way of pushing you to take steps you’ve been putting off. The HCIC community is one of the most generous in healthcare. This program is a direct line into that community. We’re happy to have you join us.
How It Works
The HCIC Mentoring Program pairs experienced healthcare leaders with emerging professionals for a one-year commitment.
- Matched one-on-one based on goals, experience and areas of interest
- Minimum of four meetings per year via Zoom, phone or email
- Recognized at our conference for completing the program
