New Healthcare AI Tools for Google Cloud

As healthcare digital leaders continue to embrace AI tools and technology, Google Cloud has introduced new tools for use in AI deployment

In early April 2025, Google introduced Agent Garden, where users can find and access pre-built AI agents. These agents have been developed by Google, third-party vendors or other healthcare organizations that have created custom agents for their own use.

Google has also developed a framework called Agent2Agent Protocol that enables multiple agents of various tech stack origins to communicate with each other.

Agentic AI (use of AI agents) is being used to perform administrative tasks and extend clinician workforce resources. Agents can expand on the capabilities of earlier AI tools by handling more complex tasks that involve multiple steps. An example is the Deep Research Assistant agent, which can process and analyze data and compose a report that includes the steps that lead to the report’s conclusions.

The next development is multi-agent AI systems that will enable agents to collaborate across multiple tasks such as optimizing and streamlining revenue cycles and claims operations while also addressing chokepoints in operations. An example of multi-agent AI system use is in patient scheduling, where a patient receives an orthopedic appointment that includes scheduling a ride to the appointment, having a wheelchair available at the appointment and help with picking up medications.
